Our food miles are Ultra Low, something not many manufacturers can boast about. We are immensely proud to offer a fresher product with a fraction of the carbon footprint compared to those coming in from Europe.

Germany is the largest producer of milk in Europe and one of the largest exporters of curd globally. For European producers, using milk from other European countries is sometimes their only option, whether due to scarcity or financial reasons. We understand that businesses grow, and with the demand for mozzarella and other cheeses increasing worldwide year on year, we know someone has to supply the demand. However, this makes it harder to be assured of the provenance of your product. Much of the drier pre-cut cheeses are made using curd from Germany, even by some producers in the UK. This makes it very challenging to know how fresh your cheese really is. This is why, at Caseificio Fratelli Amodio, we only produce wet mozzarella, guaranteeing freshness and quality.

We are doing it locally in a different way, so the UK market can purchase fresh, quality, and sustainably produced cheese with a completely transparent supply chain. All the products we produce will only ever be sold in the UK, remaining committed to our goal of producing and selling products with Ultra Low Food Miles.
